Strong majority say abortion should be illegal after first trimester, news Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research survey find.
The poll released Friday showed that 65% of Americans think abortion should be illegal in most or all circumstances in the second trimester, or 4-6 months after pregnancy, and 80% think it should be. illegal in the third trimester.

Of those who said abortion should be illegal from the second trimester, 35% said it should be illegal under all circumstances and 30% who said it should be illegal under most circumstances.
