Weinrib will lead Binance.US’ compliance efforts, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) programs, and engage with regulators and law enforcement across the United States.
She will report to Binance.US Chief Risk Officer, Sidney Majalya.
Prior to joining Binance.US, Weinrib served as Vice President of Financial Crime Compliance at Societe Generale, where she designed FinCEN and KYC regulatory frameworks and developed FCC and AML policies, procedures and controls. .
Prior to Societe Generale, Weinrib was Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at Gemini, where she helped lead the cryptocurrency exchange’s compliance and risk programs, including the integration of regulatory requirements, the KYC framework, the control framework and alignment of transactional monitoring systems to encompass legacy financial institutions and digital currency regulatory requirements.
Earlier in his career, Weinrib held compliance roles at several financial institutions and advisory firms, including Crowe Horwath, Royal Bank of Scotland, Brown Brothers Harriman, Standard Chartered Bank and Citigroup.
